Art as inspiration!

Spent some time out and about in Los Angeles area over the last few weeks. Exploring in nature and being inspired by Art!

Nara Exhibition at LACMA

His cute kawaii style with an edgy attitude has always drawn me back to his art again and again. This exhibition gives us fun sketches of iconic musical acts and Gurokawa aesthetics in loads. He has always been an inspiration to my style.

Long Beach Aquarium

Nice Aquarium in my backyard. Saw sea creatures, like these sea pens and purple tasseled scorpion-fish, that I have never encountered before.

San Luis Obispo

Nice overnight trip to San Luis Obispo. Stopped over in Solvang on the way up to eat Aebleskivers. If you have never explored Solvang, it is a cute little Danish town with many shops and bakeries set in the hills near Santa Barbara. Good day trip from Los Angeles. Stayed at the Apple Tree Inn this time (next time Madonna Inn!) Met a friend for lunch and a quick tour of the costume shop at Cuesta College. Also had a little time to take a few short hikes with some nice spiky sunsets.

Cakeland LA

Artist Scott Hove creates this sweetness overload, but there is terror/dread lurking in the shadows.

Madcap Motel

This immersive experience is more of a glorified selfie space. The actors are lots of fun, though!
